New schedule for skills training programmes by STA training sdn bhd

We would like to inform that the skills training and assessment programmes will be merged whereby the assessment will take place immediately after training with effect from 1 October 2022.

STA PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 2022 WINNERS

Following the success of the first STA photography contest held in 2020, STA has once again successfully organised its second photography contest with the theme “The World Through Macro Lens: Flora & Fauna of Sarawak”. STA received an overwhelming 250 photographs from avid photographers and nature lovers for the contest. STA would like to thank all participants for sharing their works and interests through their submissions.

FURTHER Deferment of Annual General Meeting 2022

STA PHOTOGRAPHY CONTEST 2022

STA is organising its second photography contest in collaboration with the Sarawak Photo-Art Society (SPAS) themed “The World Through Macro Lens: Flora & Fauna of Sarawak” capturing the close up beauty of either flora and fauna found in the forests of Sarawak from 1 May 2022 to 30 June 2022. Deferment of Annual General Meeting 2022

We would like to inform that with the surge in COVID 19 cases, the Council at its meeting No 1/2022 held on 3 March 2022 has decided to postpone the STA Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2022, which was scheduled to be held on 29 March 2022 to 15 June 2022 or when situation improves.

Redistribution of Forest Timber Licences and Licences for Planted Forests to the Eight Regional Forest Offices under the Restructuring Exercise of Forest Department Sarawak

The Director of Forests informed that some of the Forest Timber Licences (FTLs) and Licences for Planted Forests (LPFs) will be redistributed to the eight (8) Regional Forest Offices (RFO) based on the proposed RFO boundaries under the restructuring exercise of Forest Department Sarawak. The operational management for all the affected FTLs and LPFs will be transferred to the new RFO respectively with effect from 1 February 2022.
