STA Mutual Sdn Bhd
Having catered for the welfare and interests of STA members and built STA’s own building – Wisma STA, the late Dato’ Sri Dr Lau Hui Kang, STA Chairman from 1986 to 2002, felt that STA should redirect some of its interests and resources to providing more financial assistance to the poor rural communities, forest workers, and under privileged children.

It was officially launched by the then Chief Minister of Sarawak, YAB Pehin Sri (Dr) Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud on 16 May 2005.
STAM has been providing STA Scholarships and STA Prizes to students in various universities since 2005.
